Some Area Info: Westmore, VT is made of 37.58 square miles with an approximate population of 306. World renowned Willoughby Lake consists of 1643 acres with depths in excess of 300 ft., is the deepest lake in the state. The lake, listed as a National Natural Landmark, boasts catches that include rainbow trout, lake trout, brown trout, landlocked salmon and yellow perch. The wooded mountains surrounding the lake provide excellent hiking, ice climbing and magnificent scenery. Willoughby State Forest includes 7,300 acres in northeastern, VT. Mt. Pisgah and Mt. Hor have miles of trails and features the nesting habitat for the peregrine falcons.
Attractions and Recreation: Lake Willoughby, Long Pond, Bald Pond, Mount Hor, Mount Pisgah, Willoughby State Forest, Cole Golf Course, Will-O-Wood Campground. The Willoughvale Inn is also located in Westmore and offers a beautiful view of Willoughby Lake, great food and a place to vacation for a few days.
